just curious about this sub from its entry into the car audio world and to where it is now interms of it's overall performance..

They require quite a big "relatively" these days boxes. They are good stuff, but I think there can be found something better for the money these days.

I think they take about 2.5 cubes ported. Overall, if they are just like my tempests, probably the best subs you can own. I love these things.

I'd take a shiva over alot of "car audio" drivers costing 2x the price. The design has aged VERY well I think dayton has a set of drivers that are similar, but I'm running on 4hrs of sleep.

Definitely awesome for the price. Only thing that I didn't like was how big the box had to be.
