Added Extra Siren To Autopage alarm....now not as loud???

added an extra siren and now instead of my alarm sounding louder....it sounds less loud than before. I added it because I live in an apartment complex and I have a hard time hearing it go off from my apartment. I wired it with those scotch-lock things..red to red and black to black...Other than the loudness it seems to be working fine...any ideas? electrical theories as to why this happened? run the sirens on a relay. instead of wiring the alarm straight to the sirens, run the siren wires to a relay which will then provide adequate power to both sirens.

Take a simple bosch style relay, wire pin 85 to Ground, 86 to siren output of the bran, 87 to a fused 12v constant lead, 30 to the sirens.

I may be wrong im better with relays when i am looking at them, so hopefully someone can back me up.
