14 years ago my elderly father had fallen and when I dialed 911 I didnt need to give the address, they already knew based on the same tech as the caller ID in current home phones.

Many cellphones now have built in GPS that they can find you with.

Yep cell phone emergency mode turns on your location. So they can pinpoint you.

about 5 years ago, we were paintballing in a pretty remote location, one of the guys had a seizure... 911 knew exactly where we were. They have been able to do this for years apparently.

in some places cops promote that you call them when you are drunk and can't drive home. it's either call them or call a tow company and they'll be "glad" to pick your drunk *** up and tow your car for free.. they usualy do this down here on certain holidays like independance day or new year to keep drunks off the road.
