Access Code for HU

well i bought this Eclipse GT and the seller doesn't remember the code.

As i understand the only way to get it would be taking out the dash, retreiving the serial number of it and that wolud be the access code?

yeah and i did that they told me its gon cost me $95

The $95 is probably the rate to take out the radio and get the serial number for you. If you take the radio out and take it to the dealership they should give it to you for free.

yeah but i think if i take it out i shud be able to see the serial code somewhere. im pretty sure the serial code is the access code.

well i guess then ill try to take it out and then take it to the dealeship.

i think this aceess cpode system is useless. although it does adress some safety issues, overall useless.

had the same problem when i unhooked my battery on my vw, so i just put in my aftermarket one,
