Accelerate, and lights get brighter?

2004 ford f150,

I compeleted the big 3 back in August, and all that fun but I have had this problem when I have my headlights on they get brighter as I accelerate but only at low rpm's. Without thinking to much about this, I accelerated with my interior lights on (friend was looking at a map) and long story short the interior lights become brighter.

Is this something I should worry about, and if so how could I fix it?

Dude, it just means you alternator is putting out more power at the higher RPMs which is giving more juice to everything in your truck. You can tell the big 3 worked. You need to get a big *** system in there to take care of your 'brightness' problem.

higher engine RPM = higher Alternator RPM = Higher alternator output amperage.

nothing to worry about perfectly normal. this is the exact reason why meca competitors rev there engines to 2krpm during a SPL run

Same thing with my car. Except i have a HID kit conversion. So I'm not going brighter/ dimmer.

But the dash lights / fog lights do brighter when I'm above idle.

(@ more then idle I got 14.6V+)

(On Idle I got 14.2)

no I do not have underdrive pulleys, and I really dont mind it as long as it will not hurt my vehicle. I need a sub to pull more power out of my amps then. . . my si mags just arent cutting it!
