I own a phillips 42" tv and my ex had a 42" vizio and I always preferred the picture her tv had over mine. vizio usually got better reviews in home audio magazines for nice budget tvs.

I have a 32" Sony Bravia it's about 3 years old it doesn't get used much, maybe 10hours a week at the most, picture is still good.

I would say it's a good TV.
