Nothing wrong with an alpine hu, but there are better amps and speakers for the money. Why are you only considering alpine/polk?

I basically went by reviews from crutchfied, amazon, and random searches of the net for speakers. I am open to any brand speakers provided they are in the same ballpark price wise relative to a,b,c options.

As for the alpine amp I am basing that on liking alpine gear and the size for my space. I originally wanted jl audio slash 300/4v2 but the size does not match my space and their class D HD amp is super expensive...

i like b the most hd radio is overrated. though i would try to find an older alpine cda series before the cde or i would get a pioneer deh-80prs

HD isnt really even in canada so not really a factor it was more for the 4v pre outs which i assumed meant better performance...

I have done nothing but research for months and going to car audio forums asking questions is part of that research. Problem is I have Very limited knowledge on car audio so I dont know whats what till something shows me lol...

Easiest thing to do is check places like amazon crutchfield forums and yahoo searches for best of...
