i have a 4 channel amp that i wanna connect 8 sets of components to (i don't wanna get another amp) would it be o.k. to connect two pairs of speakers to one cross-over to connect all eight speakers to the 4 channel amp? They are kicker RS6.5 single 4ohm components. i was planning on wiring to 8ohm how would i do this???

I think crossovers are made to run @ 4ohm so you might want to use multiple crossovers and wire it from after the crossovers to 8ohm

ohh your 650.4 runs @ 2ohms BTW so you might want to go that route to get power

If you want 8ohm which really is a waste of your amp because you aint gonna be pulling 50 watts out of it @ 8ohms, wire it from positive on amp to left crossover positive, negative on amp to right crossover negative, and right crossover possitive to left crossover negative

Do NOT do this.

You will need to use all 8 crossovers, with one mid and one tweeter per crossover (like normal). You do NOT want to wire additional speakers to the output of the crossover as that will shift the xover point/etc and yield very poor sonic results.

You would simply wire two crossovers per channel. That amp can support 2ohms, so there's no reason not to use basic parallel wiring to achieve a final 2ohm load per channel.

Run one tweet, one mid and one midbass and call it good. It will look slick and will sound much better than what you propose. You can run the mid/tweet with their passive crossover on one amp channel and the midbasses on the other.
