Just curious as to what other people are putting these in for an enclosure. I've done two setups with them.

One in a Bonneville 3.6cf 29HZ tuning 10 inches of port per cube. And one in a s10 extended cab 4.5cf 27HZ tuning 18 inches of port per cube. The bonne plays very flat and low. The s10 is very peaky in the 26-30hz range but otherwise pretty flat. Both on the same model 2k amps. S10 is louder between 24-35. Bonne louder between 36ish- to high 40's. Seems pretty evenly matched 50 to lpf, if I remember right is set to about 75 on each setup.

I'm happy with the sound. I like it low. Just wondering what other people are putting them in. Also kinda wondering if even though I like the sound if I may be missing out on the xfls potential by tuning so low.

And a bonus question. What kinda of tuning worked out there well for anyone that has done a 94-97 s10/Sonoma. Heard they peak pretty high.

I got 2 jammed into a tinny box designed by Moblie Enclosures 4.5cubes after porting (not sure how much area the takes up) tuned to 30Hz. Only played on half power so far (1-T1500bdcp), but it gets low with authority.

Was is peaky at all? With the suspension being pretty stiff, how low you set your ssf with that tuning?

For me bonne ssf is at 24. With the s10 ssf is set at 20. They both seem to do pretty well with those settings. The s10 setup prolly could have set to 16-18 abecause it wasn't unloading to much and seemed to still have pretty good control. Just set it at 20 cuz the drop off in output below 20 was enough for me not to do it and because in that setup the sub has only about 3 hours of playtime on it so I may loosen up yet.

4-4.5 cubes @ 32-34, 14-16 in^2 per cube, you can tune lower.

I may rebuild my s10 enclosure tuned a little higher since I heard they peak kinda high. Was thinking of 4cf 35hz tuning but debating on the port area, maybe 15 per cube or around that area. The 18 inches per cube turned out very peaky, but its no big deal as it was a quick made test box.
