HD= Audioque/chinese whatever ripoff..

Nightshade= very nice sub, no cheap softparts, built with love and care..

Man it sounds like a hard decision...

ive seen niteshades fail but not ANY AQ's or HD's yet

all are great subs tho and can take that power

I have had 3 HDC3's 18" subs fail, so I would say sundown hands down. now if it was the HD3 subs I would get them. How I miss my HD3's

just got rid of my nightshades and regret doing it. go with the nightshades, you wont regret it. they're beastly drivers.

AQ 2200 on each sub. box is 11.25 net cubes tuned to 40hz and everyone of them failed because the voice coils came unwound from the former. No clipping, no low voltage, they were very good for the time they lasted but they did not last the long haul.

NS hands down. Jacob has made them that the stock will take the 2 1500's no problem. but letting him know what you want will only help, they are all made for the individual now anyways.

honestly doubt that 3 of the coils failed do to a shitty coil....you were clipping or sending a nasty signal.. You can't play hours on end with 4k and expect the subs to last forever either...esp when they are rated for 1k, tho they will take 2k no prob daily

I am sending just as much power to mine if not more, and the only time I would get mine to fail is from clipping the shit out of it...but the sub took it for a long time...and playing below tuning.

They didnt get hot, just had to keep the gain down and the ssf up to avoid bottoming out. I'm sure a different box would yield different results though. I only tried one....

i've never seen a hd/hdc3 that hasn't been reconed or at least needed it.
