Any half decent 2way passive with 12dB/oct slopes or better would be acceptable. I'd recommend one with an xover point in the 2.5-3.2kHz range, which should be pretty easy to find //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If so, then It would be a matter of getting a decent sub amp to dump about 500w into my PGTitanium 15, and grabbing some door deadener.

Just how would a cheaper Active setup compare to a more expensive passive comp set? Say going this route, versus getting a set of SLC's?

Going active would give you alot more options on crossover points and slopes. Its amazing how the sound changes when doing those adjustments. Also with the 880 you would have time delay thats seperate for each mid and tweet, wheres with passive you only have time delay for each side. when going active you cant really have rear fill, I dont use that.

Looks to be 240.00 with assembled crossovers for a pair. and those crossovers dont come in an encloser, I am sure its just the ones that you see in home speakers. That might make it harder to install. But yes that would be a component set. I am going to buy the mids I think

So in other words..I think I have a good thing going here. Give each side about 110 watts, nicley deadened doors..should sound nice. I've been in touch with Flako, and I'll prob be picking up a nice Merlin for my 15. I'm narrowing this down between this AA active set, and some Dayton references....
