My brother has a Power Acoustik a3000db

Blew up one of his kickers so we took it out and replaced the kickers

Today we wired in 3 Alpine Type R's at a 1.34ohm Load

Throw everything back in, wire it all back up, and nothing, see ANL fuse blown

He blew the fuse under his hood (250a) and replaced it with a 300a fuse.

Go into trunk, tiny little gray smoke, nothing else.

Light was red, turned green, smoked stopped after literally 1-2 seconds.

He blew the fuse under his hood (250a) and replaced it with a 300a fuse.

Power light is still on, dont think it's in protect mode, and red light is off.

We're still new at this, did we miss something? Little help? Brother is super pissed right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

That amp doesnt pull that much current. So yea something is def. wrong with the amp well now there is.

i dont think you're supposed to replace fuses with a bigger fuse. its 250a for a reason. if u put a bigger fuse, itll let more current through before the fuse blows. putting a bigger fuse i dont think will solve anything

So just replacing it with a 250a fuse should make it work? Or is something really wrong now?

Oh and fuse was blown before we tried putting in the type r's. Never had any power with them. Didnt blow the fuse on the r's, blew it on the L7s

im not sure whats causing the fuse to blow, but replacing with a bigger one i dont think will solve anything.
Ok I think I complicated things a big here. Things got confusing. In order

-Had a3000db to 2Kicker L7s

-Blew up one L7 and the fuse blew

-Removed L7s and fuse

-Replaced L7s w/ 3 Type R's

-Replaced the fuse under the hood, was 250a, brother didnt find a 250 and threw in a 300a fuse, that is not blown, and still isn't.

Right now amp fires up green, subs are wired in, rca's/remote ok, fuse is ok.

NO SOUND from the subwoofers at all. Checked ohm load, show 1.3/1.4 so thats correct.

im pretty sure by just throwing a bigger fuse in there you fried your amp, and you said you saw a little smoke so there you go.
Dude the amp can't get fried by just having a larger fuse than is required. The amp must have something wrong if it was able to pop a 250 fuse.

What I was sayin is if u blew a 250a fuse with that amp. Something is now ****ed up. Try removing the remote wire for a few minutes and plug it back in and see what happens from there. If that doesnt work pull the back cover off the amp and see if and thing is burnt.
