A question for the serious hardcore US amps fan

What's the visible difference between the vlx-200 and vlx-400 amps?

(except the end plates of course, duh... )

What I have seen it looks like the vlx-400 have 4 caps less on one of the sides, makin it 8 on one side and 12 on the other, while the vlx-200 have 12 caps on both sides.

Is this the easiest way to spot a vlx-200 from a vlx-400? Or does it happen that the vlx-400 come with 12caps on both sides and vice versa?

Is thereother ways to spot differences?

My reason for asking is that I bought an amp that was listed as a vlx-200 and have the 200 endplate, but it does only have 8caps on one side and the regular 12 on the other...

Is it possible that I have in fact bought a vlx-400 with switched end plate for competition cheating?

I'd shoot you in the face with a 7mm rifle for a mint vlx 400.

I'd shoot you in the face with a 7mm rifle for a mint vlx 200.

Therefore there is no difference.

My brother has the 7mm, but here's my 243.

Yeah, that's one of the pics I've been looking at.

And the silver one is the vlx-200. Notice it has 4 more caps on the left side of the left torroid than the vlx-400.

And I also found an ad where a guy is selling a vlx-200 and vlx-40, both red ones.

And it's the same story there, the vlx-200 has more caps, so I'm pretty confident that I have in fact bought a vlx-400!
