A question for all you car buffs and know about engines

Alright I'm lookin at gettin a 99 Impreza 2.5 RS, only problem is a crapload of miles. So i was wonderin if I wanted to get the engine rebuilt and put some like new pistons and and not go over board with like performance shit, can somebody give me a legit answer as to how much it would run.....just like a ballpark price cause I'm sure someone out there has had to have there stuff rebuilt too.

shouldnt be too much, its just a rebuild. maybe u should look for a wrecked STi and throw that engine in there? probly gets it for around 2Gs

please look elsewhere for car advice, ESPECIALLY on an import. trust me on this one...
