Also about the one guy mentioning about the Media and that is why blacks get a bad name, because they focus on that and stereotype all black people, well I tell you this move to Youngstown/Warren Ohio, lawlers!

Or take a drive through a major city on the bad side of town. Then you could see why people would stereotype them.

Not saying all of them are like that, but I can see why. 9-10 of them are assholes around my area and I have a couple black friends that would agree 110% with me.

People focus too much on race. The only way race will not be an issue is when people stop talking about it which will probably never happen. I think the problem is that black people are singled out more than any race in this country (with the exception of middle eastern people). If everyone would just mesh and not think about race everything would be better. But the fact that there are places with only 1 race of people it makes people ignorant to other cultures and races. People don't understand that people are who they are based on their actions, qualities, and ideas not the color of their skin. I've never seen any conversation involving race where people didn't make ignorant statements. It's just the way people are.

I respect the fact that you chose to handle yourself in a decent manner. It is unfortunate that you and your wife felt un easy switching partners during the lesson. I can identify with your frustration, but in a way you were alienating others in the class. Quite possibly the remarks were made as a result these people being made to feel insecure.
Ignorance is a way of life for alot of people, but an individuals actions are what sets them apart and defines their character.
