A light wieght loud/SQ sub?

yeh we did a quick test by putting in my sub box in the back of my friend's 2006 accord v6, and even he noticed a difference in handling.

So the IDQs are light, yet loud and have good SQ? No free air listen in Cardomain, so seal enclosure it is? I know the ID max aint light, but how do they sound?

i didn't say it was louder...but it will be lighter. gonna be pretty hard to get a sub thats significantly louder AND lighter than a 12" W6 so laugh it up noob 50 pounds or so isn't heavy at all so unless you get a bazooka tube then i don't know what to tell you.......my box is easily 150# and i can't tell a difference in handling

loud and heavy are one in the same, bigger driver = louder and heavier, small driver with big enclosure for efficiency = loud but still heavy.

Honestly, just grab like an idq 10" in a small sealed box and should sound great. screw the loud/sq crap, there is no such thing imo.

IDQ's fit the bill... They have good clean output for the weight and they need small boxes.

I'd just keep what you got..... So much easier aanfd you are gonna have to look hard to get as loud with less weight.

i got a camaro with a 3.1 in it with the whole hatch as a box and 2 15 jl w-6's in there and i dont feel and handling loss maybe a little acceleration but not hardly anyto wanna get a lighter sub or anything

your camaro also has more than 90 lbs of torque

BTW build the box out of baltic birch plywood, much better than mdf in everyway, especially wieght.

say wieght wasnt such major a concern but price was (under 300 max 350) and i wanted a SQL sub, would one of these be louder than a 12w6v2? http://www.diymobileaudio.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=32&osCsid=b7927dba91dee699c2d05a786d2749e4
Ive suddenly changed my mind and im in hopes of getting 2 12s or 1 15 and air intake/new exhuast to make up some torque/hp.

change also the suspension and add front/rear strut bars!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

and 1 nice/loud 15" will do it for you IMO instead of 2 12"...
