A Good In-Dash Equalizer?

Cost is not a concern. I would just like any advice on a great equalizer that I can control from the drivers seat. I have a 1971 Mustang and my head unit is a retro style head, and I am installing a high end amp with speakers. I would like an equalizer to have more control over my sound. Is the audiocontrol three.2 outdated? Any recommendations? Thank you!

The higher end decks come with built in equalizers. Might be worth considering, unless you really want to keep your current radio.

I love half din EQ's, but today's HU have more processing than even the best half dins so it's not worth it to me to install one.

That Arc is a nice piece. If price is no concern though, I'd look at the Zapco offering. The actual processor is mounted elsewhere, but the control is half din size and fits in that spot. Might be a bit "too much" EQ for you, but it's the best out there.

Also, since your HU is retro style, maybe look at an old school unit to pick up used.

Personally though, for the money, I'd get the Kicker KQ5. It's a clean looking unit and it's parametric which will offer a little more control than the paragraphics mentioned. It also has an AUX input for your iPod or whatever. Which is a plus if your HU doesn't have one.

i agree with those saying that higher end decks have lots of processing, but i like to tweak on the fly, and not have to mess with all the deck menus. its so much easier/faster to just reach over and tweak a knob
