A good EQ?

So I bought a Boss EQ off eBay and all it does it make engine noise out the ***! So whats a good brand one that wont do this? Massive? Clarion? Kicker?

check all your wiring connections,it may not be the unit making the noise feedback.

also audiocontrol make excellent eq's. so do clarion, alpine, eclipse, mtx, and most other decent brands.
