a couple q's

ok, a friend asked me a few q's that i couldnt answer with 100% accuracy. He has four stock mids and highs and a set of 6x9's. He is wanting to put an amp on his stock mids and highs, and the 6x9's as well. Question 1: Should he put an amp on his stock stuff? (He is in a 00 Jeep Cherokee) Question 2: Can he get one four channel amp to hook all six speakers up? (If in fact he DOES amp his mids and highs)

Also, most importantly, he has one JL W7, and he is wanting the BEST quality amp for a low price.

I told him that for an amp to push the sub like it can go, he'll need to spend some decent money, but he is wanting to put about $200 - $300 on an amp. So any ideas???

(he has been looking at Circuit City and Best Buy for an amp.....not on my top 10 list, but none the less, I told him i'd ask you guys.

Any ideas would be great.

sure, he can amplify his stock equipment, but I see no reason for doing so. If he's already replacing so much, why not replace the front stage as well?

And good luck finding an amp to push the w7 for under $300 at best buy.

Go on the internet for the amp, maybe look for a refurb from somewhere, maybe a viper 1200.1 or an Orion 1200d (basicaly) the same amps. Or for a new amp look into Hifonics, they are a little over rated, but they are still pretty decent amps.

maybe try to find a used amp... i think ikesound.com has some refurbs too

ebay has the best deal on amps. You can easily get a new 1000+ watt amp on eBay. I got my Infinity 1211 amp there. It puts out 1300W RMS at 2 ohms, 14.4V.
