12" sub. i want a mach5 12" sub, simply because pv audio said prayers onto it and it 's only like $70 ( thats with the shipping included).

what other 12" subs could i use that are less than $105 shipped for

HT duty? this will go in a 5 cu ft box with 2 ports for double tuning (18.5 and 26Hz) & 350 watts

Even a dayton with as much capability would cost you more. I would say that Mach5 is one of the best choices for a budget DIY HT sub. Loads of bang for buck in it. This is based off paper specs and testimonials of past products though, so take it as that.

I can't in good faith recommend the Mach5 for an application like this.

IMO, it's forte is getting loud for cheap, but if tonal accuracy is what you're looking for...I'd look elsewhere.

In a large enclosure this Mach5 does tone down as well. Well in simulated respects. Once it hits the room, there i no telling what it or any woofer will do(thats what EQs are for). If he is looking for tonal accuracy then he also needs a bigger budget.
