Stop giving people ideas. They are not sports cars nor should have ever been intended as such. The 3800 is a nice reliable engine for a daily driver that wont break the bank.

To further prove the point that was made:

A sports car is a small, usually two seat automobile designed for high speed driving and maneuverability.

Sports cars have been either spartan or luxurious, but good handling and high performance is requisite.

The Grand Prix is good at neither.

Lulz. Incorrect. The 4T65E's major down fall was the 4th gear input shaft. When it was original made they used a soft steel. After they started going out they replaced them with a hardened steel input shaft.

sorry sir...correct to an extent.

the most common problem with the 4t65e and hd were harsh shift problems. Causes by a PCS located inside the ****** itself.

torque converter was also a major issue on both...

i have beaten the living **** outta my buddies 4.0 and then some and its still purring like a kitten , i even submerged it and after a using a small vacuum and 2 oil changes its still kicking. 376,000 HARD MILES and it still gets 20MPG!!

3800' were decent. s/c'd with that cute little thing on top(m90?) they were quick for a 3600lbs car. Sports car? no...Fast? no..Reliable? yes..***** ****?...yes
