98HOEONSIXEZ/PRICES 25KW tahoe funky fresh rebuild (COMPLETE REWIRE/4 18 BOX BUILD)

I just found this thread yesterday. I've read ALL 78 pages. I've been around for a little while and I don't understand for the life of me why ppl are dog'n the fact he paid someone to put his system together?
His build was more involved than stickin a sub in a sealed inclosure to get the dbzzzzz :/

Example:

I am able to do some real basic mechanical work on my car. I can determine what's wrong with my car (to a certain extent) if it fails to start, but I'm no expert. I'm not a mechanic. I'll call AAA, and take it to someone who CAN fix it.

How is this different?

My little setup I paid for. 6th order b/p hitting 140+ on tl. I have the knowledge but I lack the skill, and experience to even attempt to have this self installed.

Now there are those who have no choice, and HAVE to do it themselves, and that's fine. But why begrudge someone who paid to have it completed? I hope your intellectually consistent, and the next time your car craps out on you fix it yourself. Don't take it to a mechanic.

Johnathan your setup is awesome, keep it up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i feel like your extremely confused for just having read all 78 pages. he had a shop do the install, and they did a shitty half *** job. he now took it upon himself to re-do the install and fix it all and it came out 100x better.

wow, i too just read all those pages, saw alll the videos, i cant believe to grounds!!!!!

whoever did the first install did a bad job, not knowing the installers abilities but i have seen that the shops owners most of the time will not spend the money on the correct parts and tools to do a job and are told just make it work, most of my jobs now are rewires from popular local shops, looks good with the beauty panels on, but typically like what you found.

I have to say the copper pipe fittings to make the Y is a first. And i cant get over the grounds. and the lack of deadening you paid for in the rear doors.... did you get some money back from them just not doing it?

Extreme overkill, since you don't know anything but what other people tell you, rob realized that and thought $$$$$$$$$
to me that would make "rob" an *******.... flat out ripping people off...... but //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

you havent waisted any money on the build...... you just hired the wrong people for the job.... cough' cough
look what I just coughed up LOL

i still didnt do the RE-install bro..david cope-coowner of dat amps did 99% of it..i helped everychance i could but working 60-75hours a week doesnt leave much time for that, but we can both agree that the work he did was awesome

and no i didnt get any money from them..they shut down, and i would have wasted more money in lawyers and fees trying to get my money from some broke *** people than it would have been worth

I'm confused based on what? I don't mind reading, especially when it's something I'm interested in.

he had a shop do the install, and they did a shitty half *** job. he now took it upon himself to re-do the install and fix it all and it came out 100x better.
isn't that a good thing?
