nice job dude how can you work without some tunes on in the background come on man
Looks like half the time it's making a cold solder joint. Need to heat the medium, not the solder itself... I always heat the bottom of the ring terminal so it draws the solder in correctly. I have no doubt your connections are secure, just an //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif to those less experienced or who don't solder all the time.![]()

Oh and heres the video alot of people were asking for on soldering.

I tried soldering, and i did it just the way your talking about and it messed the wire up,it draws the solder in too deep and it goes down inside the wire where its still jacketed and if makes it discolor and deform and looked like crapola..but thanks for the input for whoever will be chasing them .1 dbs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifLooks like half the time it's making a cold solder joint. Also, soldering the ring terminals on does add resistance, as solder is not as conductive as OFC copper. That's why NONE of the top competitors, with dozens of runs of 1/0, chasing those last .1dB's, none of them solder their connection.
Soldering a terminal on may make a more secure connection, but it does add minimal resistance... something that people chasing tenths would notice.

Yeah, I normally head the back flat side of the terminal... like right below the ring hole... and try to watch the jacketing at the same time... taking away the heat as necessary.I tried soldering, and i did it just the way your talking about and it messed the wire up,it draws the solder in too deep and it goes down inside the wire where its still jacketed and if makes it discolor and deform and looked like crapola..but thanks for the input for whoever will be chasing them .1 dbs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If the jacket gets ugly, that's the the rubber sleeve/grommet will cover up for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.
Looking good regardless, I'm waiting to see this come together on the inside!
