9887 vs. iDA

I am trying to decide between theses two HUs, according to Alpine, thr "full speed" connection is digital, just like the USB connection, and the nice big knob to search through my 1600+ artists (over 14,000 songs) on my iPOD 160gb, makes it easy ... BUT, the EQ/Crossover feature on the 9887 is great... unless I can find a good 1/2 DIN PEQ .... thoughts? Thanks.

the 9887 has the full speed ipod connection as well, get it. You will need to buy the cable for 20 bucks tho.
