When searching through ipod do I have to go all the way back to the beginning everytime I try to back up or am I missing something.

yeah i think you're missing something. Y would u have to go all the way back to the beginning when you back up??? mayb I'm reading it wrong....but the way you worded it kinda thro me for a loop.....

Say i pick a song under artist if I try to back up to where I left off it goes all the way back to the artist, song, playlist search screen instead of the last artist I left off on. When you have a thousand songs this can be cumbersome

oh i gotcha....yeah mine doesn't do that. Mine will go back to what I selected instead of taking me all the way back to the menu screen. I have over 5,000 songs and mine works like a charm. Most of the time i jus put mine on shuffle instead of scrolling through all those songs and artists......

Say I'm playing a song how do I go back to the last artist, song, etc that I picked without having to go all the way back the the song, playlist, artist screen

yeah i have the same ipod hookup on my alpine deck, unfortunately that's just how it is
