9851 and 9853

I might be getting a new HU soon. I can get the '51 and '53 for cheap BNIB. I am about to sell my sub and amp so Id just be running my stock Bose 4.5" off the HU and I might get a new Rl-i8 when they come out. I will only be keeping the car til April-May next year.

So which one would be better suited to my "needs" for the next 9ish months? I know the 53 has 5 band digital and 7 band graphic but any other reason to drop another $40 to get the 53? Would make like a day/night difference for dropping extra $40?

from what I remember the 51 has no eq bands and the 53 has 5. 53 also has Bass Engine PRO the 51 has the regular one. Not sure how much of a difference that is but they do seem to be the same.

Also the 53 has glide touch, an Alpine Amplifier Link and I think even MX
