none of them has biolite... i think it's that DOT Matrix one.. but they ARE awesome.. **** the fancy display, go with whatever pleases your ears...

Maybe its personal opinion, but I think the new Alpine head units look cheap and plasticy... they redesigned them a lot for 07, and I prefer my 06 9856 to anything new they have out. Whatever floats your boat though.

The 9835 is indeed a good headunit, probably the best remaining since Alpine redid a lot of them. The 9811 and 9813 arent bad, but for me the 15 leaves much to be desired. The 9833 isnt bad per say... it just doesnt look very smooth compared to some old Alpine HUs.

Seriously, if I had the choice to buy another HU, I would get the same one I have. The 9856 is a great unit, especially for the price. It has enough features for me, and I dont want a fully animated what-the-hell-is-going-on? type screen. I prefer one line of text. Its easier that way. Its all a personal choice though.

i have a 9815 with something wrong with it, stopped loading cd's and now the screen is stuck open with no display on it. anyone think they could fix it?
