98 grand am False floor Install

September 26 , 2008: well guy's last night after i got outta class me and my gf went to go pick up the carpet for the Falsefloor install. It's not the exact color but it's pretty close:). Help's when u work there to and get a discount;). But i hopefully plan to start the carpeting sometime this week but im workn close 2morro and sunday doing a side install for a v-power amp for her front stage my friend want's 2 give me that amp since he don't have cash so that will b good for her front stage:D. well here's pic of the carpet 4 u guys:).

Carpet to cover the nice install with

i actually just covered my first floor board... if I had any recommendation, it would be to not leave more than like 2" of extra wrap around material, or it gets tough to work with...and a staple gun DEFINITELY is the way to go

No i didn't mikey , i cut the base sub hole then for top piece has the sub cut out hole so the 10" does sit in the enclosure though:).
lol its gotta be sealed air tight. You really should glass that mold to the piece you have over top of it.

I dont understand how its not going to be leaking like crazy, your going to loose tons of performance.

Just because its sitting in there doesnt mean its going to work right. The enclosure has to be sealed up.

With that floor that lays right over the mold in there, just reach in the sub cutout, and mark around the edge with a marker or something. Pull the floor and the mold, line them up, and glass them together.

if a mod see's this can they please change the thread title to 99 grand am false floor install sry just noticed that now. thx in advance:).
You can change the thread title yourself.

Go to the first post, go to edit. Go advanced, and it'll be right at the top. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Its probably too late and he cant edit his first post

Alright mikey well since I can't glass it since everything mounted and wired. What I'm going to do is basically seal it off around top piece to base so acts as a seal and still the sub is just sealed into the enclosure.
