but i would definitely keep the spare tire for her. if she ever does need it, she'll be blaming you for taking it out and leaving her stranded.

lol funny teen. true teen but not like she would change it but then again she's not a preppy stuck up girl either and does learn many new things and not afraid to try it herself. so she might. hmmm.....im not sure how im gonna go bout this anyone's opinion id appericate it. if you done a install like this especially could really use some tips , info pics would be helpful. google or yahoo are not helpn me that well haha.

im guessing the trunk isnt that small. i think youll have plenty of room in there to do some custom work and still have space left over.

ive never done any fiberglass work though, so cant really help you there. sry.

Well guy's here is some of the thing's going in on the install. Also the second skin will have a full review to it compared to raammatt , fattmat , dynamat. sry taking so long 4 review anthony and don't worry man i didn't 4 get just had to wait till my girl got a car but she got that grand am. now onto pics 4 u guy's.

Well guy's i know it's not alot to look at right now. but i have knukonceptz 4awg wiring and a brand new right from candence themself with a 2yr warranty a Sqa-1 amp. well here are pics i have for now.





Also.......Here is a pic of her new ride i know it need's some work but were fixing the bumper

and the fender also help that her uncle owns a collison shop.

Alright guy's tell me if im on the right track here here's what im thinkn.

Steps to false floor/clean install

1.) Pull all carpeting

2.)tape off right side start glassing

3.) cut out a piece of mdf to fit the side panel of the car that will also form with the glass that forms your box.

4.) let sit haha

5.) start to work on flase floor take piece of MDF lay it flat use 2x4's to bring up other piece mdf so that amp can be put in all wires hidden and put a nice acrylic plexi over top amp with a small l.e.d. in with switch upfront to be lit up at night.

What you guy's think i got that idea from lookn at a thread.

the trunks a plenty big in grand ams to leave the spare in there and glass a box in. unless you are making a huge box. i dunno this probably didnt help your cause at all but good luck

It might not be necessary to get into glassing to pull off a false floor and have a sub box back there.

You can do it all with MDF generally.

Heres a couple pics that might help, just do it like I did in this car...

Just make a false floor that outlines the entire floor of the trunk. Make a top panel for the floor, and a small bottom panel to screw the amp to. Then make sides around the bottom panel, attatch the bottom with the sides to the top, have hole cut in top for the amp, and throw it in there, toss the box on top of that.

The only thing that may kill this idea is space. If you dont have the height to work with then your sol, then you might have to get into the spare tire well or get into some glassing.
