there will\should be TONS of port noise with a port that small\long.

just a FYI. i would not build it.

my amp is fine i tested it. the sub looks fine physically the coil isnt burnt nothin. the only noticeable thing is where i plug the wires in the tip has a bit of a burn mark on it.

yea i was playing around with the idea of putting two more 12's back there and making one big box for the entire back seat. thats in the far future though

Ok, for everyone whining about my sub box, i made a new one just to please you guys. Here you go

I like to use Form and Function in my builds. the only thing the box above is good for is Function. But with the box i have in there now it has Form and Function. I like to equal that out in every install i do. Ok, this thread has been sitting for a while, and in the mean time i have gone for straight SPL now.

Here is a video of it.


The box is 5.10cft with (2) 4" aero ports tuned to 33ish

I know there are tons of theorys on which way to face the subs/ports in a truck and i think my way (subs up port forward) worked pretty well.

Oh and i now have my XD Rockstars wrapped in Mickey Thompsons Baja MTZ's

Love that combination
