I'm kind of stumped on this one.
My girlfriends car, a 97 Prizm is having issues with the stereo. The factory stereo works fine, except there's an issue with the tape deck, so I installed a pioneer. Worked for a few weeks, then quit putting out audio. It was a used deck, so I bought a new dual for it.
Three months of working fine, now, no audio. Radio, iPod, aux, nothing works. The stereo powers on fine. Just nothing audio wise. She said it will come on randomly or put out static. I put her factory back in and it's fine.
Does anyone know if this car has a factory amp? What should I do to troubleshoot this? I'm not opposed to running new leads for the speakers.
Can someone help point me in the right direction?
