Well I am Getting somewhat done with my old truck(work truck) Its a 98 GMC est cab. Let me start with that I used to be into car audio back in the day and I am 52 now and was out of it for the last 25 years. One day my stock deck died so i went to Wallyworld bought a cheap deck and dash and wiring kit and installed it . It all went down hill from there lol I kinda thought it would, stock speakers -one was blown so i bought some polk audio replacements then a new JVC head unit and a clairion EQS 746 and a 250w amp and a 10" kicker sub and then it changed amps to 500w then 1000w then 1500w and two c2Audio threatcons 12" s in an uderseat sealed box then a Mike Singer 280 Amp alt with two Agm Battery's 6 runs of 0 gauge big 3 on both battery's added Cdt hd 62 as comps and 400.4 amp for them and then bought a Power bass 5000d amp from Silerado ss I met here. He is a big help in picking out products-lots of knowledge for a youg buck lol. (I am only running at 2 ohms for now and its a little much for he threatcons 12" but there pretty tough) Then I Let him talk me into removing the back seats and buying a 18" Fi Team on the black fri sale, It was a huge savings.

Then I had Buck design a box for it- Another big help he walked me through it and designed a cool huge 7 cube flare port box tuned at 30.5 hz and will be building it in the next week or two. Well The Fi team 18" came in Fri OMG What was I thinking This thing is huge and weighs about 90 lbs ! I think this thing may blow my old truck apart! LOL . Here are some pics and will add more as I build box and Get it all Installed. Some of the pics are old and with old equip.

Looks good where did you get the fuse blocks if you dont mind me asking.

and yea alot of us young bucks that truely love audio have stepped up to the plate hopefully carrying on the hobby to the next generation to follow. Down here in the south lot of young guys want bass but dont have a clue so ive actually went to the local schools and asked if I could give a short course for shop based and electronics classes I was turned down by a few schools but I have made 3 presentations so far and I feel ive at least helped a little. Explaining theile small, ohms law, hoffmans iron law, ohm loads, relays, box design and building basics, and above all safety needed to install and how respecting others will not only help prevent ticket but also help keep the industry alive. I only talk for a day sometimes two but while I dont know everything I do try and touch on the basics.

it actually suprising when a young guy chimes in a helps explain with me.

http://www.vteworld.com Ultra high quality and those cost about 5.00 and come with the boots and the maxi fuses cost about a dollar each I think those fuse holders are rated @ 500 amps and are ten time the quality all the car audio jokers are selling 10times the price, only thing is they are not sealed so I am building i alum plate for 4 of them to bolt to and a cover in the engine bay but for now i just shrink tubed them to keep water off them, Also check out Toolmaker he makes a nice Fuse block - looks reall nice here is a pic of it
