'94 Mazda B-4000 x-tra cab w/cap

I'm looking for ALL/ANY ideas for installing a nice sound system in my truck. My dillema is maintaining full use of the cab without removing the cap on the back of my truck. I have two 12" subs that I'd like to put in, utilizing my 4 present 5x7's as my mids and I also have two tweeters to install.

I was looking at putting the subs, amps (looking at getting two) and crossover in the bed of the truck, but how do I get the sound into the cab? A couple options I've thought of are to:

1) make the box a ported box and drill holes into the cab through the bed and allow the ports to come into the cab that way.

2) create a box that has a "port" that comes out of the bed and fits in the sliding windows between the cap and the rear window of the cab, thus causing no damage to the bed or cab - but it presents the issue of sealing around the windows when it rains.

If anyone has ANY ideas/suggestions/recommendations on how I can make this work, please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

You really can't just put subs in the bed unless you do a blow through (cut out the back wall of the truck).

thats not always the case..

i have a snug top(yall call um caps.. lol) on my single cab ranger, and all i have done was removed the rear window of the truck and the top and used whats called an "accoridan" gasket to seal it off. much easyer then a blowthrough design. only down fall is that there is alot of airspace in that bed, wich will cause u to lose alot of sound( plus gain alot of rattles...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif)

ill go snap some pix in a min. to give u a better idea

if that sounds like youd be interested in doing that

id sugest you do a crap laod of reaserch lol

and if you want to use the system right now, in the mean time make a box for em untill you feel your ready for the glassing
