Well I have been piecing together my budget system for my 1992 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight.

Here is what I have so far:

Subwoofer- RE SRi10-D2 $49

Amplifier- Profile California AP1200 $58

Head Unit- Kenwood KDC-MP145 $69

Wiring- Knukonceptz KLMX4 2 channel install kit $26

Enclosure Design- RAM_Designs $10

Enclosure Material- Free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Unsure on what these still:

5 1/4 Door Speakers-

6x9 Deck Speakers-

I plan to go with Coaxials because they are cheaper and cheaper for this "budget" build.

I may also try the peel and seal stuff from Lowes for the trunk.

I will keep every body up to date with pictures and such later down the road.

If you have any suggestion or comments let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking!

Update:

I installed the new head unit and ran my rca's and remote wire today.

Over all just replacing the headunit made a big difference in sound quality with the factory speakers.

Also I can play cd or aux now.

Before it was only radio or tapes (but the tape player was broken) haha.

Where the trunk meets my back seat there looks to be an opening but it is closed off with a few nuts and bolts.

I would be fine to just remove this opening cover correct?

Also it will probably be better too when I get my box built and subwoofer back there.

More air travel. Right?

Well I received my amplifier today. So I decided to take some pictures.

I also took some amplifier guts pictures too.

I already ran my RCA/remote wire to the trunk.

Very good quality RCA/remote wires.

I used to have one of these a lonnnnng time ago. the 720 maybe? I had it pushin two cheap azz rockford 10's in my dodge back in the day, actually my first system haha.
Well that's cool! I heard that the Profiles are pretty nice budget amplifiers so I snagged one up.

I got it for a good deal on ebay.

it never did me wrong, I ran it for a few years, then sold it for a bit more than I payed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

/thread

I sold the car.

I should have a new build coming up because I just picked up a new car.

The car is a 1993 Dodge Shadow ES 4-door.
