yea I think im going with perfexionx's idea and get adapter/Hu with minidsp but im going to look into minidsp some more cause it looks complicated atm lol.I would go with the adapter for sure... With a nice Eclipse or Pioneer DD. That looks way cleaner.
I cant help with your original question, but man that adapter sure cleans all up! Why the heck cant they do something similar to that from the factory? Thats an insane amount of buttons/knobs/switches/controls in that 2nd picture.... worse than a spaceship control center...
A single din wouldnt look bad at all, depending on which one of course... But its a must that you go DD. Unless you are an SQ freak, plenty of people have achieved great sound quality and things on just DD's... May take a little more work, though.yea I think im going with perfexionx's idea and get adapter/Hu with minidsp but im going to look into minidsp some more cause it looks complicated atm lol.
Either way i think Im getting rid of the stock. Wish there was a pic of a single din in the adapter, but I think it wouldnt look good.
Yea i haven't found any inexpensive DD's yet still hunting, but i wonder if i could buy a tablet and use the aux input on the ms-8I think that aftermarket route looks a lot better than the stock.
Have you though about doing the aftermarket dash kit, an inexpensive used DD, and then a used MS-8? If you can flex that budget just a bit you can get the convenience and look of a DD but also have the extensive tuning options of the MS-8.
The MS-8 is a pretty amazing piece of hardware.
I have an alpine 9887, with imprint built in pm me if you are interested, has great sound tuning options, and is physically appealing.any other advice
