I have one under the hood of my sierra.. everyone makes a big deal of them being 14V but i use them on my truck and my car and i gain over a DB with the better voltage

yes they can but you would need to top them off weekly in order not to kill them, because charging them between 14.4-14.9 will not keep them fully charged
