Don't post much cause im still trying to learn alot. i made a mistake and got subs that were too big the first time. im about to get a 9886 and rsd's for the front. I really want to do 8's to save space and to show people that even though they're small 8's can get loud. i know im not gonna get huge numbers with eights but thats ok.
I want to go ported and tune low because i hate how my sealed twelves (that i dont have room to go ported with or i would) lack low end. i have been looking at l7's, critical mass', soundsplinter, and audioque. i would go with dd but people around me just say that dd is in a league of their own and that its easy to get loud with them. I have an amp that does around 450@2 and 300@4 and if i can use that it would be nice but if i dont its not the end of the world. i would like the subs to work in about 1 cube and each sub would have its own chamber.
Heres the catch. due to budget (~200 for sub) i probably will only be able to do one sub right now but later on i will add a second sub and enough amp for both of them. Oh and i drive a 2007 mustang.
Clif notes: 2007 mustang, loud 8's one now another later, existing amp 450@2 and 300@4, around one cube per sub tuned low.
