i would do atleast 1200, 800 will just get the thing moving lol. They really can take some power. Thats why we were saying before if your only going to be giving around 1000 or so look into a sx rather than a xxx.

It would *work*, but there would be better subs suited for that power range, IMO.

If you ended up going with the XXX, build the box to larger-than-recommended specs, increasing efficiency.

its like feeding a comp vr 10 watts. it'll do something, but no where close to its potential. give it what it likes and needs, or don't get it at all. an SE or SX would be perfect with 800 watts...with 800 i'd take an SE over an SX...1000-1500 would be prime for the sx, 1500 and up is the xxx territory.

800 watts would b alot beter for an se or sx, but for teh XXX anything less than 1000 is its recommened ported box will not b up to its potential. but id get eh XXX anyway u can allways upgrade ur amp later

I would love to see the proof of 750 had the xxx to its full. The kid prob had a amp that said 750 max and had the gains and boosts cranked up and said " I'm givin her all shes got captain and she just wont take it anymore" I seen the xxx's with over 2k going to them.
