800.2 rf amp

I have a 800.2 rf amp powering two p3 at 4 ohms. Have you heard anything bout this amp good or bad? Second can you name a good amp with good power no more then 400$ What about going to a mono block like the alpine MRD M1005 OR THE jl 500x1 WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER SETUP?
