8" L7 > 1508 Just for cone area?

Got to looking around at other 8's, and found that i can get 8" 06 L7's for about the exact same price as 1508's. AND that means more cone area. People really pass on these subs as good subs, my personal experiences with L7's have been great.

Would it be worth it just for more cone area? I mean, i would be gaining a whole other sub since i'm running in SB1...

If you plan on being competitive in SB1, run 2 10's.

If i ran the L7's, i would do a zx2500 @ 1 ohm

if i ran the 1508's, probably a M3 @ .5

I've been in the 2 10's scene, is it jsut because you can throw gobs of power at them? Because obviously 8's get you the most cone area.

Power > cone area in this case.

No 8" on the planet will take the amount of power of a good 3" coil.

I understand that it is all in the build, but you cannot deny the fact that more cone area = more pressure. The two subs seem to stack up about equal, so i don't see how it couldn't be a better buy.

The motor has a lot to do with it.

Yea, i know. Like I said, the specs seem tp be about equal...but now tommy is making me think that maybe 2 10" solox's will be a better idea.
