8 ga enuff for a 600.1 and another amp

go to Wal-Mart and check out the scosche wiring kits, they have a chart on the back that tells you what gauge cable you need based on output power and length of the cable.

that should help

I have 4 awg running back to a distro, 8 to my sub amp and 4 ch amp, the 8 awg to my amp is only a few inches. it runs fine

well if we were only talking a couple inches it wouldnt be a problem.....but he's talking about using it as the main power wire....like ur 4ga.....

i have a 4g amp kit and it can handle 3500 watts, i dunno why u would need any bigger than that !!!

better call the fire department cuz ur gonna be burning down. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

u know u must be talking peak watts cuz i don't think 4 gauge could handle that too well. maybe a short while but after just a lil while ur gonna have some problems.
