7krms, how big of electrical setup?

Just looking for opinions.

Lets say the battery bank consists of three kinetik 2400's and a kinetik 1200 under the hood.

Will a single 250amp alty suffice? Or should i step it up to a dual alty system?

umm...250 amp alternator at 14.4 volts will put out 2500+1000+100=3600 watts, roughly half of what your system will be pushing, so a dual alternator and you should never have a problem, or a single alternator if you don't plan on pushing full power the majority of the time.

not sure, but you might want to get a voltage isolator if you runnin that much more power in the back than your main batt. OR upgrade your main batt.

unless you plan on listening to it full tilt you should be good that and the single alt

well i know a few guys thats ru nning 7k plus and one has 275 dc ho alt and 4 battery hes running 2 AQ 3500 and the other guy is running 2 4000mm autotek and 4 batteries in the back and a 250 or a 275 dc alt.

NO less than a 250 amp alt, and 4 group 31s!!!

I would recommend a 300 amp alt and 6 G31s
