780MP internals broke ...

so as the thread title states .. My cd part of my headunit broke .. my question would be .. would i be able to keep the face plate but change the cd part with a 7800MP ... basically saying .. keep my 780MP faceplate but change to a 7800MP cdplayer .. would that work? because i know that BB has a 7800MP but the faceplate is missing the knob. If not .. anyone have suggestions on a new headunit ... =\ .. i really misss my cd player ....
