only one state has more recorded corruption than Illinios and that is New Jersey....Anyone who thinks Obama will run a clean ship is stupid. His vetting process is a joke and they what 4-5 of his appointies are under investigation or had tax issues? The dems just want to raise your taxes and not pay any. Also the stimullus is opposed by over 50% and supported by a low 30% according to NATIONAL polls. Whoever votes for this outside of NY or Cali won't be in government for very much longer, at least not as a congressman or senator.

Greta Van Susteren was asking a Senator (femal democrat) about how they came up with the amounts to hand out to all those causes and the senator just kept deffending the bill not answering the question. Why? Because it was a loaded question without a good answer for the public. Lobbyists are who come up with those totals.

we knew his policies would be liberal. we voted for liberal rhetoric. it's our fault if he fails, it's our triumph if he succedes. his policies haven't failed yet, even though i fear they will, but what bugs me, is the fact that he put the CEO from GE in his administration. obama now has the biggest lobby group in the country on his staff, which goes against his campaign BS stand on lobbyists. and now has the owner of the worlds largest energy company, and the owner of NBC news in his administration. how many conflicts of interest are there? if bush would have appointed the owner of FOX news, and the CEO of exxon to his staff, people would have sh!t themselves.

pelosi wrote it, so it can't be completely put on obama. he'll have a chance to veto it when it gets to his desk. somehow i doubt he'll do that.

yep. and we've now set a standard of giving billions, instead of millions. it's almost like a competition. they can't be outspent by a republican. that'd be completely against liberal democrat legislation.

I am originally from Chicago and am well versed in it's history. You still can't condemn someone for coming from a region. Just because someone practices politics in a notoriously corrupt area, doesn't mean they themselves are corrupt.

I can tell you are new here. I grew up in the South Side. I didn't move to FL until I was 27(in'02).

Your stupidity pains me. I don't care how many governors, mayors have been found guilty in the past. It still doesn't equate to all IL politicians automatically being corrupt. I read the news. I know of Blago. I still don't see how that equates to Barrack being corrupt.
