Hi everyone, im new here been reading a lot of the posts here. Some good info!!
Anyway, im building a 72 Chevelle pro touring car, I need some help with picking stuff out. I want a nice crystal clear loud system, without a lot of bass, only when needed. I need to get speakers and amp(s) installed so I can get going on the interior.
I want to run a component system, I already have 2 10inch Polk Audio subs , a mono amp for them and the box for the rear deck. I need to know if I should run a pair of components in front and a pair in back. I think just one pair up front wont be loud enough. I was thinking Infinity speakers. I have a Infinity 6.1 component setup in my S10, I love them but if I can get better for less money, send me suggestions!!!
Then A recommendation for an amp that will power all of them (except the subs) ?
I would like to keep the speakers and amp around or under a $1000.
I will wait till it gets closer to drive time for a head unit, but im open for suggestions!
I have plenty of room to work with. You can see the spaces I have to work with here http://www.davedorner.com/sound.html
The project here http://www.davedorner.com/projects.html
THANKS for any suggestions and replies! Dave
