7" Clarion VRX485VD Flipout H/U - quality? eq? need exp

My old headunit is starting to ****, skips a bit, one utton missing, big scratch etc. So Ive been wanting to buy a new one

I was thinking this:

Itll cost me about $380 (cdn) with shipping and exchange rate

But I dunno if it has everything I need. Has anyone actually used one? Do the movies look good at all when plaing a dvd? Touch screen not cheesy and actually works? Does the eq have alot of options? like adjusting output of certain freqs, ajusting curve and crossover points, turning sub on/off etc....

I also like it cause its 6 chanel, since I got 3 amps.

Id like to see a pic of one in a car, like running a movie, or how does it look when its playing a cd

very good units. have the vrx835 and it is quality.

i had a vrx745vd a couple years back. the gearing was ****ed but it worked fine. its great for an entry-level-type in dash , but i didnt really like it.

lack of EQ,

pita to insert/eject cds and dvds.

but for what it is , theyre good.

Well yeah, iw anna have a decent eq, does anyone know what exactly you can change on THIS model?

Or what the display looks like?

Im coming form a pioneer 860mp deck, so I expect some adjustability

I REALLY hope it doesnt only have a 3 band eq...

I was told the clarion unit is very similar to the Panasonic cq-vx100u (both price and options) and I was actually able to find info on the panasonic unlike the clarion, and it says there is only a 3 band eq. I need the 12 I believe, that my 860mp offers... I need to tweak my stereo for sure, it was a night and day difference when I did, aswell as crossover points for highs and lows...
