7 band vs 3 band (HU eq) - How important is it for you?

Leaving aside other factors.. would you pay about 30% more for an almost identical HU from the same manufacturer just because it had a 7 band EQ ??

Is 30% like $60 more or like $300 more? haha

i cant stand my 3 band parametric eq on my avic if that helps..

Yeah like 60$ more.

My main requirement is usb and the one im looking at is about 160$ with ipod, usb, 4 volts, 3 pre-outs.

The other is 230$ only difference 7 band eq.

Both are pioneer

Just get the cheaper one, if you don't like the sound and want more EQ options, buy an external EQ.

The sound is pretty much similar cos they are on the same platform. I prefer cleaner sound and not to mess with the HU settings.

With the extra 70$ I could get better wires
