Started making the trunk panels:

Unfortunatley the right side of the trunk is not symetrical to the left so I have to do a template for that side as well

Did some stuff yesterday:

Panels and trunk floor will be wrapped in tan carpet and there will be cutouts where the amps & license plate will be mounted painted to match the car with edge lit plexi around it.

This build is for my father. He recently had his GTO repainted and decided to redo his interior as well. He asked me what I could do to give him better sound than what was currently in there. He is not looking for anything crazy in there as he'd rather listen to the engine. Here is what we will be using:
Kenwood KDC-X395

Kenwood KAC 1502s & 2404s

Hybrid Audio Imagine 5.25's & 6.5's

Hybrid Audio I6SW

Knukonceptz Wiring

RAAM Audio Sound Damping

nice classic car man

Awwww cheap kenwoods on such nice speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
They're actually a pretty darn good match for the drivers chosen.....if you look past the b.s. peak ratings Kenwood still plasters all over the boxes, that's a good clean 40wrms per channel on the 2404 and 150wrms bridged on the 1502s......looks pretty well thought out to me, remember it's for his father who is not into ear shatterring spl levels lol........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D:D

Hey I understand what you're saying, I used to really love all things Kenwood, right up till they started with all the bogus ratings and stuff, so until recently I hadn't run anything Kenwood since the early 2000's.....I recently got a hold of the excelon x595 deck and was pretty impressed with it's features and I know that their amps are pretty decent if you look past all the b.s............
