61" Samsung

Ugh, DLP's are a fading technology. The larger screen is okay if that's all you are looking for, however, make sure you are sitting directly in front of it while viewing TV.

DLP's are fading because the lamps suckballs and fail every year. Samsungs LED technology addresses this iirc. That looks like a good price to me.

for 1300 on amazon you can get a decent or somewhat nice sony/samsung 1080p lcd or plasma around 46" with free shipping. id wait a few months, about april prices should drop farther down than they already have over the last 6 months. The 1080 technology is better than the DLP stuff and will last longer with better PQ

ya dlp sucks, replacing a $200 lamp every 2 years is a pretty lame task

you're always bragging about your money so just buy a 65" 1080p lcd and be happy

money shouldn't matter when you're shallow and want to impress people with it;)

I've had my Samsung dlp for two years now , it's only 56" but I have no viewing problems or bulb problems with mine . I do have another bulb so when it goes I can replace it. Unlike most LCD owners I'm not gonna hate on lcd's but for the money there's no lcp that can match the size and response time of an DLP. Again for the money. and by the way it's 1080p and 120hz since 2006 glad LCD's finally caught up.

you'll be replacing the bulb soon

a dlp isnt something you should buy without viewing first since many people suffer from the "rainbow" problem

not sure how the new laser and led dlps are, but i know the led ones have a rated bulb life of around 60k hours which is up there with lcd life, but so is the price

A 61" Dlp for $1200 can compare to what LCD at 61"?

The colors on the LED DLPs cant stand up with a standard CCFL based DLP from Mitsu. If your compaining about bulbs, A) they're only $100, B) Mitsu will give you your first one. They six times more efficient than an LCD so what you'll save on your power bill for that 2-3 year time frame will more than cover the cost of the bulb.

As I speak, a samsung tech is replacing the motherboard on my LCD...a $400 part and its less than a year old...

I have a Mitsubishi WD-60735 and love it

way better than the LCD I had before.

I wish I would of gone DLP before I had spent so much on a LCD

and blub use is alot longer than it used to be
