600wrms@ 2ohms and 200$ What sub(s) to choose

nah im not going with a 10. im going with a decent driver that way i wont have to upgrade later, ill just buy another sub and a bigger amp.
If you are already planning on upgrading to a bigger amp why bother getting sub(s) that work well with your current amp? Not to mention building a new box once you add another sub. If your without bass and need a quick fix buy some local used cheap subs to get you by. Then save up and get the best amp you can. Subs should come last IMO

the re 15" takes like 750 rms doesnt it? i dont remember because i havent looked at it in a few days. What im gonna do is just put one sub on the amp, then later on after i sell my current setup ill buy a bigger amp and another RE 15 to go with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

have mine on a US amps MD3D, wired at 2ohms. i would say its in the neighbourhood of 9-1000watts. i tuned the amp till i hurd distortion and back it off a hair. NO mechanical noise, and if i let it hang for 10 mins, it starts the smell a bit!

right now i have 2 shitty 12s on this amp. Might sell this setup to a friend and pickup a p1000 or maybe gp1500. the 2 12s do pretty good on 600w though, although i dont think theyll last much longer, theyve started to bottom out if i turn the gain past 1/4 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

600 watts RMS would be perfect for the 12" solo-baric L5 dual 4 ohm sub that I have just laying around! I think I am going to put it in my girlfriend's 2006 Mazda Tribute.

Why look for SPL when you're only pushing 600 watts? If you mean a sub that sounds the loudest, go with something that plays low. A sub that pounds in the 40Hz-50Hz range will sound and feel loud but won't meter very well. With 600 watts I would a buy good quality 12" sub for the $200. That way upgrading would be cheaper. You could simply buy a bigger amp and a matching sub.
x2

there was a company called Virtual Technologies. that made a mean 15" sub that was in a huge slot ported box. it went out of business, but if you could find that sub and the box it came with it you wouldn't be disappointed at all i have pics of mine ill post in a sec.
